Lindsay Lohan Sent to Jail Again

Lindsay Lohan was sent back to jail on Friday morning by a California judge after the actress failed a recent drug test, The Associated Press reported. Ms. Lohan, the “Mean Girls” star, was ordered by Judge Elden S. Fox of Los Angeles County Superior Court to be held without bail until Oct. 22, when a formal probation hearing will be held.
Ms. Lohan this summer served less than two weeks of a 90-day jail sentence and spent 22 days in a rehabilitation facility after she missed a probation hearing in May that stemmed from 2007 arrests on charges of drunken driving and drug possession. Judge Fox on Monday revoked Ms. Lohan’s probation and issued a warrant for her arrest after she failed a drug test she had been ordered to take as a condition of her probation. Ms. Lohan acknowledged this  in a series of messages on her Twitter account in which she wrote, “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps.”
Ms. Lohan previously was incarcerated for just under 90 minutes at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., in 2007, after her drunken driving and drug possession arrests.
